Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 h

1. To prepare the dough, mix sour cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, soft butter, soda and salt. If desired, at this point, you can add flavors (tangerine is good, for example). Gradually adding flour (it is better to sift), quickly knead the soft dough. Do not mix it, otherwise it will become rubbery. Wrap the dough with a film (or put it in a bag) and send it to the cold for 30 minutes.
2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the dough on a baking sheet (about 30 by 40 cm in size) and spread it evenly. Or roll out on the table and transfer to a baking sheet. If you have a smaller baking sheet, divide it into two cakes. Bake a cake. The approximate baking time is 25-30 minutes.
3. Divide the cake into two equal parts. Trim the edges. Chop the trimmings - they will be a decoration.
4. Brush one half of the cake with jam. Cover with the other half, press down and leave to soak.
5. To prepare the glaze, sift powdered sugar and, gradually squeezing lemon juice to it and whisking, bring the mixture to a smooth white paste.
6. Pour the fudge-glaze over the top cake. Sprinkle with crumbs from the scraps and let stand and dry a little. Instead of fudge, you can lubricate the second cake with jam, which is also very tasty.
7. Cut the resulting sand cake into smooth, beautiful cakes - and you can drink tea.
Enjoy!
