Prepare the ingredients. We will need chicken drumsticks, ground chili pepper, salt and a little olive oil. If you use a pepper pod, then it should be washed, cut and remove all the seeds. Then, chop as small as possible with a knife.
Peel the garlic cloves. We pass it through the press. Combine garlic, ground hot chili pepper or finely chopped pod, salt in a small container. Mix it up. You can add chopped parsley, green onions. Grated zest and lime juice, ginger root will harmoniously fit into this ensemble. From spices, if desired, add Provencal herbs. They will soften the burning notes of chili pepper. Try the sauce. If necessary, adjust the degree of sharpness and spice to your liking.
Wash the chicken legs. Dry with paper napkins. Transfer to a bowl. Rub all sides with a mixture of chili and garlic. We push a part of the marinade under the skin with our finger, evenly distributing it over the meat. So the taste will be more intense. Cover with cling film. We hide it in the refrigerator for two hours for pickling.
Preheat the oven to 200-220 degrees.
Grease the baking sheet with vegetable oil. Lay out the chicken. The surface of each leg should also be lubricated with olive or refined sunflower oil.
Send to bake for about 20 minutes. After that, carefully turn the legs over with forceps to the other side. Return to the oven. We continue to bake until ready.
The cooking time can be longer or shorter. Focus on the features of your oven. My oven coped with the task in 30 minutes.
Serve the spicy chicken legs hot. Boiled crumbly rice, baked potatoes or vegetables, mashed potatoes are suitable as a side dish.
