Baklava with syrup

Step-by-step cooking

    Knead the dough. Add eggs, salt, vegetable oil to the water (125ml.), mix. Add baking powder to the flour and sift into the egg mixture. Knead the dough for at least 7-10 minutes. Cover with a film and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

    While the dough is resting, prepare the filling and syrup. We leave part of the walnut kernels for decoration, the rest of the nuts are ground in a blender with sugar (200g.) and part of cinnamon.

    Take 100 milliliters of water, add 250 grams of sugar and the rest of the cinnamon and put it on fire. Cook the syrup for 3 minutes. Turn off the heat and add honey, let the syrup cool down.

    Divide the dough into four parts and roll out, dusting with starch. We put the first sheet of dough on a greased baking dish and lubricate it abundantly with melted butter. We put a third of the filling. We do this operation twice more. Cover with the fourth sheet of dough and cut into the sizes we need. Liberally lubricate with oil, decorate with nuts and put in a preheated oven to 180 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.

    Take it out of the oven, make another incision, lubricate with oil and put it in the oven for another 30 minutes.
