Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prunes cut (not finely, I usually cut into 4 parts)
Step 2:
Dates cut (not finely, I usually cut into 4 parts)
Step 3:
Pour raisins, dates and prunes with hot tea for at least half an hour.
Step 4:
Beat eggs with powdered sugar.
Step 5:
Mix dry ingredients (flour, cinnamon, ginger, baking powder)
Step 6:
Strain the dried fruits. Attention! 150 ml of strained tea is necessary for the dough!!!
Step 7:
Sift the dry mixture into the egg mixture. Mix gently. The dough will become quite elastic. If it's hard to mix, don't worry.
Step 8:
After you add the soaked dried fruits and strained tea, stir. The dough will resemble thick sour cream.
Step 9:
Form lined with baking paper. Lay out the dough. Bake at 175 C for 40-60 min . depending on the oven and the shape. Do not open the oven for the first 30 minutes (the pie may settle). After 30 minutes, you can check the pie with a toothpick for readiness. I have a shape with a diameter of 26 cm. The oven bakes from above and below. Usually baked for about 50 min..
Step 10:
Cool the finished cake. Choose from the form. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
