Sift flour with baking powder, add sugar and a pinch of salt, mix everything.
Step 3:
Add the butter cut into small pieces. Grind the butter with flour into a crumb.

Grate the potatoes on a fine grater or mash them in mashed potatoes, add them to the flour crumbs and rub them with your hands until smooth.
Step 5:
We make a hole in the flour mixture, add half an egg (half will go for greasing before baking), 1 tbsp kefir and vanilla tincture. Mix it up.
Step 6:
Add cranberries (or other dried fruits or berries), knead the dough, you do not need to knead for a long time, just collect everything into a lump.
Step 7:
Spread the dough on a floured table and form a layer about 1.5 cm thick.
Step 8:
Using cookie cutters or a knife, cut the dough into small buns.
Step 9:
Spread on a baking sheet, lubricate with half an egg that we have stored and send it to the oven preheated to 180 C for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Step 10:
We take out the finished scones from the oven, let them cool down a little and serve them to the table.
Step 11:
The outside of the scones are obtained with a crispy crust, and inside is a delicate airy crumb. Break the bun into 2 parts, lubricate with butter and jam and you can drink tea. Bon appetit!
