Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Everything we need.
Step 2:
In the bowl of the combine, mix flour, cottage cheese, butter (cold), sugar and salt, if desired, you can add a little ground paprika, dried herbs or ground pepper.
Step 3:
This is how we get a wet crumb.
Step 4:
Collect the lumps into a ball of dough and send them to the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes (you can do it for longer).
Step 5:
Grate the cheese. We take the rested dough from the refrigerator and roll it into a layer. Spread a piece of cheese (1/3) on one half of the dough.
Step 6:
Cover with the second half of the dough. The resulting piece is rolled out again, we again lay out part of the cheese and cover with the second half of the dough, we do it 3-4 times in total. In this way we make a layered structure.
Step 7:
Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 5-7 mm thick.
Step 8:
Cut the dough into strips or, if you want, you can cut out different figures with cookie cutters (but it's easier and faster to cut into strips :)).
Step 9:
Put the prepared sticks on a baking sheet, lubricate with egg (I used only protein), and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. For sprinkling, you can use flax seeds, poppy seeds, sunflower seeds or dried herbs, in general, everything that will be at hand.
Step 10:
Bake the sticks in a preheated 200 C oven for about 15-20 minutes, until a bright golden crust. Let the chopsticks cool slightly and serve to the table, bon appetit!
