Step 1:
How to bake nutty French cookies with berries and meringue? Beat the sugar with the egg.
Step 2:
Add soft butter. Gradually adding flour with baking powder, mix.
Step 3:
Add the crushed walnuts to the dough and mix well. The dough is just wonderful - it does not stick to your hands and rolls out perfectly.
Step 4:
Squeeze cookies out of the rolled dough layer with molds. The thickness of the dough layer is about 0.7 cm .
Step 5:
Spread baking paper on a baking sheet and spread cookies on it. Bake for 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
Step 6:
While the cookies are in the oven, whisk the whites to peaks with sugar and a pinch of salt. Remove the baking tray with cookies from the oven, lightly grease each meringue cookie and put a few berries.
Step 7:
Make a protein cap on top of the berries. Place the baking sheet back in the oven for 5 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 110 degrees (leave only the bottom heating), cook for 20-30 minutes.
