How to Cook Castor Onion Pie:
We start the dough: chop margarine with a knife with flour, add 1/2 cup of sour cream, water, salt and soda, knead everything into one ball with our hands.Put the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Meanwhile, we are engaged in filling: we cut the onion arbitrarily (you can cut it into cubes, you can quarter it into rings), fry it until golden brown in vegetable oil, salt it, add any spices, for example, a mixture of spices for vegetable salads.
We spread the dough with our hands into the mold (it is well crumpled and distributed over the mold), leaving the curved edges (that is, the entire form should be covered with dough). Spread the onion on top. Fill everything with a mixture of one egg, the remaining sour cream, mayonnaise and grated cheese. Bake at a temperature of 200 degrees until golden brown for about 35-40 minutes. It's delicious to serve a pie with cheese and onions cold and hot!
