Cooking method
I found the recipe for this pie in a well-known food magazine. I decided to cook it and I really liked it. First we prepare the dough. Grate apples and carrots. Using a mixer, beat the soft butter with egg yolks. In a coffee grinder, grind almonds with 50 grams of sugar in a pulse mode. Mix ground almonds, flour and baking powder. Then add this mixture to the butter-egg mass. Here we also put carrots with apples. Next, whisk the proteins with the remaining sugar and gently mix them into the dough. Grease the baking dish with oil and spread the dough. Top with slices of apples sprinkled with lemon juice, in any order and sprinkle with cinnamon. We send the pie to a preheated 180 degree oven to bake for an hour. We check the readiness with a toothpick. After the time has elapsed, we lubricate the top of the pie with warmed jam using a brush. The cooled delicious pie is sprinkled with powdered sugar. Have a nice tea party!
