Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Beat a glass of sugar with an egg using a mixer.
Step 2:
Next, melt 100 grams of butter in a glass of warm milk and whisk this mixture. Then gradually pour it into the egg – sugar mixture
Step 3:
Add 5.5 cups of flour, salt and knead the dough.
Step 4:
Divide the finished dough into 14-15 equal pieces, each of which is very thinly rolled out and pricked with a fork.
Step 5:
Next, for the cream, beat 1.5 liters of milk, 5 yolks, 1.5 cups granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, 4 tbsp flour
Step 6:
Put it to cook, stirring continuously, for 15 – 18 minutes. The cream should thicken and when it reaches the consistency of liquid sour cream, remove from heat. We are waiting for it to cool down a little, and add 100 gr. butter. Beat the cream again with a mixer
Step 7:
Bake the cakes in turn in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees. Baked cakes are cut in shape. We smear the cakes with warm cream, which we put into a detachable form covered with foil so that the cream does not leak out.
Step 8:
Grease the top of the cake with cream and sprinkle with crumbs from the cakes. We send it to the refrigerator for 10 hours. After the time has elapsed, carefully remove the mold and sprinkle the sides with the remaining crumbs. You can decorate the cake with chopped walnuts. We serve the Napoleon cake with hot drinks.
I really like to cook the famous Napoleon cake for various celebrations according to a classic culinary recipe. I have known this recipe for a long time and found it in a book about delicious food. The cake is being prepared for a long time, but the result will exceed all your expectations.
