Step-by-step cooking
Maslenitsa is approaching and I would like to share the recipe very much a delicious chicken coop. Kurnik is a traditional dish of old Russian cuisine, a multi-layered pancake pie. I borrowed a recipe from a friend who was born and raised in Russia. Now this dish is always present on Shrovetide and on my table. It takes a lot of time to prepare a chicken coop, but what is the result!
Boil chicken fillet in salted water. Finely chop.
Chop onion and mushrooms and fry in rast.oil. Cook the rice.
Bake pancakes according to your recipe, but it's better that they are thin.
Mix eggs with softened margarine, put the sour cream, add flour.
Divide the dough into two parts. From one part for decoration, we pinch off a piece. The rest is rolled into two tortillas, one of which is smaller than the other.
My pancakes are 23 cm in diameter, so I rolled out a larger diameter tortilla.
Put the tortilla on a baking sheet with paper. Spread the pancake on top.
On the pancake - fig.
Pancake again, on it - mushrooms with onions (half).
Pancake again, chicken fillet on it.
Pancake + the same layers, starting from the first one.
Lubricate the last layer of chicken fillet with sour cream. We put a pancake on top, close it with a large flat cake.
We pinch the chicken coop in a circle. Decorate it as desired. From above we make a hole, we lower a piece of butter there and pour the broth. We coat the chicken coop with beaten egg.
In the oven, warmed up to 180 gr., put the chicken coop for half an hour.
