Step-by-step cooking
Why "in French" you ask??? Yes, because I once watched a cooking show in which a French chef made such a casserole. The only thing is that he did not add minced meat there, because he made a casserole as a side dish to the chicken. I don't bother with 2 separate dishes, due to lack of time, so I add various minced meat to the casserole - meat, fish, liver. But all the ingredients I have taken into account, as in the recipe of that glorious Frenchman)))
So let's get started:
Wash and peel the potatoes, cut into thin circles (I do with a special grater).
Peel the onion, cut into half rings, fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Add minced meat to the onion, salt, pepper and sprinkle with herbs (I have herbs of Italian cuisine, just for casseroles and lasagna). Fry the minced meat until ready.
Whisk cream with egg, lightly salt, add nutmeg. Three cheese on a coarse grater.
We put a layer of potatoes on the bottom of the mold, each circle overlaps. The first layer is better to make thicker, so I spread the potatoes in 2 steps. Prisalivaem. The next layer is minced meat. Top with the remaining potatoes. Pour all the cream, sprinkle with cheese. Cover the casserole with foil and put it in the oven for 50 minutes at a temperature of 180gr.
For 10-15 minutes until ready, you need to remove the foil so that the cheese is browned.
Bon appetit!!
