If a couple of kilograms of medium–sized potatoes are lying around in the corner, and there is lard and a piece of cheese in the refrigerator, any party is saved, especially if there is a fireplace in the house.
Potatoes need to be thoroughly washed and wrapped with foil each tuber. I love juicy potatoes, so every time I wrap a small piece of lard inside. Now the potatoes need to be baked in the coals of the fireplace. It will take 40-50 minutes.
When the potatoes are thoroughly baked, you need to cut them in half, add salt and pepper and let them cool down a little. But you don't need to forget about potatoes at all - potatoes baked in the fireplace are tastiest warm. Even hot. At the same time, you can take the butter out of the refrigerator
While the potatoes are cooling, I have time to prepare the filling. True, a company of hungry friends can prepare a mixture in a couple of minutes. All you need is to grate cheese, chop onions or herbs – whoever likes it more – and mix.
Now it is fashionable to cut out a little pulp from their halves of cooled potatoes, put a small piece of butter and cheese with herbs in each.
Potatoes baked in the fireplace will serve as a treat at any party. Guests always ask for supplements – tested the same evening by the fireplace.
