This culinary recipe, which I saw in the cooking program, has become a traditional dish for the Christmas holiday table. Especially after I found out that this is the favorite food of the English Queen. In fact, this is a potato casserole with minced meat, but small additives make this Welsh shepherd's pie really a royal dish. To begin with, we cut two medium-sized onions coarsely, and two medium-sized carrots into thin semicircles. Add 1 tbsp to a preheated frying pan .a spoonful of vegetable oil and pass the onion, add the carrots and when it softens a little, spread the minced meat. The minced meat needs to be stirred well to break up all the lumps. Along the way, we put potatoes to cook for mashed potatoes. When the minced meat is fried, add frozen green peas (without defrosting). Gently mix and add 2 tbsp .spoons of flour, then pour in 100 g of broth, stir and add canned tomatoes in their own juice. Stir and leave to simmer for 10 minutes. Salt, add spices - a mixture of Provencal herbs, thyme, pepper, finely chopped parsley and cinnamon on the tip of a knife and simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
Cooking mashed potatoes with butter. We take a refractory mold and put minced meat in it, mashed potatoes on top of it, leeks cut into rings on top of the mashed potatoes, and fall asleep with grated cheese. We put the mold in the preheated oven for 25 minutes at a temperature of 175-180C. The description seems complicated and long, but the shepherd's pie is being prepared quickly and looks very nice. Be sure to try it and feel like an English queen or king!
