Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the products for the cutlets. I made the minced meat myself, from chicken breast. The finished minced meat is more fatty, cutlets from it will not turn out to be dietary. Take bread not fresh, but slightly dried, you can replace it with breadcrumbs. Put the spices to your liking, I limited myself to one salt.
Step 2:
The onion needs to be cleaned and chopped, I grated it on a fine grater.
Step 3:
Break the bread into pieces and pour the milk for about five minutes, periodically it will need to be turned over so that it is well soaked. Milk can be safely replaced with water. When the bread has softened enough, drain the liquid and knead it. It is better to remove the crusts.
Step 4:
Combine minced meat, onion and bread. Add salt and egg.
Step 5:
Mix well until completely homogeneous.
Step 6:
We make balls out of minced meat. To prevent the minced meat from sticking to your hands, take a bowl of cold water, and after each cutlet moisten your hands.
Step 7:
I cooked steamed cutlets in a slow cooker on a steamer mode for 30 minutes.
Step 8:
These are the cute cutlets I got.
To cook steamed cutlets, you can use different ways.
Naturally, the steamer is suitable first of all. This is a very convenient household appliance, especially for people who monitor their diet or follow a diet.
Happy owners of slow cookers with the function of steaming will also easily cope with the preparation of these cutlets. The only disadvantage is that it turns out a small portion, in a steamer you can make a dish for a large family.
If you don't have a steamer or a slow cooker, use the method that our mothers and grandmothers cooked. This will require an iron colander and a saucepan. Just set it over a pan of water so that the water does not reach the bottom, and cook on low heat under the lid, putting the products in a colander.
If you don't have an iron colander, too, then you can put the cutlets in a frying pan, pour boiling water to half and simmer them on low heat for a specified time.
