Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare all the necessary products. Take large eggs, preferably homemade, at least with. Such eggs are not only large, but also have a bright orange yolk, thanks to which the omelet will turn out a beautiful color. Before using, check the eggs for freshness. To do this is very simple: put the eggs in water at room temperature: if the egg sinks, it is fresh, if it pops up, it is better not to use the egg, because it is not the first freshness.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash the eggs well, - a lot of bacteria accumulate on the shell and they need to be washed off. In a deep bowl, beat the eggs.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Mix the eggs with a fork.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Pour in the milk. Milk should be natural, with a fat content of about 3%. For a more satisfying option, you can take cream with a fat content of about 10%. Traditionally, it is believed that the amount of milk that is placed in the half of the shell from the same egg is taken for 1 egg.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Add a little salt and whisk everything with a fork. Also at this stage you can add some more additives to the omelet mixture. Of the dry additives, it can be garlic powder, dried dill, ground pepper or paprika. It can also be chopped fresh herbs, green onions, slices of tomato or bacon.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

To cook an omelet steamed in a slow cooker, you will need a mold or molds. These can be silicone molds or ceramic. I have one large ceramic mold. Pour the egg mixture into the mold.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Put the mold on the grill for steaming in a slow cooker.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Fill the bowl of the slow cooker with water, the approximate volume is about 300 ml.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Install the grid with the shape. Cook in a slow cooker in steamed mode. As a rule, the cooking time of 10 minutes is already set in this mode. But you are guided by the size of your form in which you cook an omelet. If these are small silicone molds, then 10 minutes will be quite enough. If you have a large form, then you can increase the time to 20 minutes.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

This omelet is very tasty and healthy. It is also suitable for baby food. Enjoy your meal!

Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook dishes that are familiar to you first, and then new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.

Be sure to wash the eggs before use, as even the seemingly clean shell may contain harmful bacteria. It is best to use food detergents and a brush.

How do I know if an egg is fresh? Break it into a separate container. First of all, there should be no unpleasant smell. The protein of fresh eggs will be transparent and clean. The yolk should not spread and will be shiny, convex, homogeneous.
