Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
The carcass of the fish should be washed, gutted, cut off the fins, head, tail, clean the scales (if there is one). Separate the fillets or cut into portions. Let them lie down and dry out.
Step 2:
Next, you need to prepare everything that will make the fish a couple tastier. For example, lemon. It will make the taste piquant and remove the smell of mud. In short, cut into thin half-slices.
Step 3:
Now each piece of fish is slightly salted.
Step 4:
And put lemon slices on it for a while.
Step 5:
And now – refueling. Peeled and washed garlic will be crushed as much as possible.
Step 6:
Pour the oil into a small bowl. And first we will pour the crushed garlic here.
Step 7:
And then add Italian (Provencal) herbs, hot ground pepper and lemon juice.
Step 8:
After we smear each piece of fish with a freshly cooked fragrant mixture. Pour water into the bowl of the slow cooker (according to the instructions). We will install a container for steaming and, putting fish and vegetables in it, sprinkle them with herbs, cover them with a lid and set the "steaming" mode. As a rule, fish and thinly sliced vegetables are ready in 25-30 minutes.
And more tips
You can take any fish – both white and red.
Steamed fish is steamed and whole, if it is not large, and in the form of fillets and pieces, as in our case.
You can not oil the fish with oil – so calories will be reduced, but the fish will not turn out so juicy.
Marinade dressing can be made to your taste by changing the ingredients.
Lemon, which was overlaid with fish, can not be cleaned, but the taste of fish will add bitterness.
Do you want a side dish for a couple? We put any vegetables in a container with fish, to taste.
