Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make chips in the microwave? Prepare everything you need for this. If you use new potatoes, then it is not necessary to peel them. You can just wash thoroughly in running water with a brush. I will peel the potatoes.
Step 2:
Cut the peeled potatoes into very thin slices, approximately 1-2 mm thick. To do this, you can use a vegetable cutter or a sharp knife. Place the sliced potatoes in water to wash off excess starch from them.
Step 3:
Then put the potato slices on a paper towel, rolled up in 2-3 layers, and cover with another layer on top to carefully remove all excess moisture from the potatoes.
Step 4:
Brush the potato slices with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and spices. Spices can be chosen according to your taste. I use paprika.
Step 5:
It is convenient to use a plate from the microwave oven itself to make chips. It is flat and large enough. But you can use any other one that is suitable for a microwave oven. Put a sheet of paper towel on a plate and put potato slices on it. Put it in the microwave at maximum power (usually 750-800 watts) for 3 minutes. Then turn the slices over and put them on for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 6:
The finished chips will turn golden. Transfer them to another plate and help yourself! They are very tasty and crispy!
Step 7:
You can add chips with any sauce to your taste. I really like sour cream sauce with herbs and garlic. You can store such chips for 2-3 days in an airtight container. Have a nice treat!
Keep in mind that microwaves don't work the same way. The cooking time and recommended power may differ from those stated in the recipe. Read the instructions for your device and take into account the features of your equipment.
If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.
Since the degree of salinity, sweetness, bitterness, sharpness, acid, burning is individual for everyone, always add spices, spices and seasonings, focusing on your taste! If you put some of the seasonings for the first time, then keep in mind that there are spices that it is especially important not to shift (for example, chili pepper).
