Cooking method
Choose cottage cheese not too wet and not dry, with a fat content of at least 9% (and preferably homemade). It should not just be fresh, but high-quality, not pasty, not a curd product and, most importantly, it should not be too moist. If the cottage cheese is wet, then the proportions of dry ingredients and liquids will have to be changed. From moist cottage cheese, the casserole will turn out liquid and, with a high probability, will not be baked. Sour cream should also be thick and fatty, at least 20%. When using high-quality ingredients and choosing the right cooking mode, the casserole will definitely work.
How to make a cottage cheese casserole like in kindergarten in a slow cooker?
1. Transfer the cottage cheese to a deep bowl.
2. Break the eggs, separate the whites from the yolks. Put the yolks to the cottage cheese.
3. Add sour cream, vanilla and a couple of teaspoons of sugar to the bowl, mix. Whisk with a blender until smooth and airy.
4. Put the sifted flour and baking powder, whisk again. The dough should be like thick sour cream.
5. Also, whisk the whites to a froth, pour in the remaining sugar and whisk until stable peaks.
6. In small portions, put the whipped whites into the dough, mix every time.
7. Lubricate the bowl of the slow cooker with butter.
8. Pour the dough into the bowl. Turn on the slow cooker in the "Baking" mode for 32 minutes. Depending on the model of your multicooker, its power time may vary. If you need to finish baking the casserole, set extra time.
9. Remove the finished casserole from the bowl, let it cool down a little, then sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
Casserole can be served to the table, decorated, for example, with berries or fruits, sprinkled with crumbled chocolate. Experiment!
Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook dishes that are familiar to you first, and then new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.
