Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2:
Melt the margarine to a soft or liquid state.
Step 3:
Pour in the sand, mix thoroughly.
Step 4:
Beat in 2 eggs, mix until smooth.
Step 5:
Add sour cream. Mix it up.
Step 6:
Sift the flour. It is better to add flour in portions, so it will be easier to knead the dough.
Step 7:
The dough should be soft, elastic, slightly stringy.
Step 8:
Pour the dough into the bowl of the slow cooker. If desired, the bowl can be greased with butter or margarine. But since the bowls are non-stick coated, it is not necessary to do this.
Step 9:
Close the lid and bake for 50 minutes. It is worth noting here that you need to look at the power of the slow cooker. For example, in Panasonic, you can safely add 20 minutes. In general, we check the readiness with a wooden stick.
Step 10:
We cool the finished biscuit on the grill, covering it with a napkin. Before cutting into cakes, I let the biscuit lie down, just as it is done with the classic. I usually leave it overnight. During this time, the structure of the biscuit will change, and it will not crumble when cut.
Step 11:
You can cut the cakes with a string, thread or a wide knife. I've been cutting with a knife for several years, it seems more convenient to me. The cakes are soft, dense, porous, well soaked. Good luck with your creativity!
Biscuits in a slow cooker turn pale on top. I usually use an aerogrill lid for browning. You can turn the biscuit over and brown on the other side. Another option is to add cocoa to the dough. In this case, 1 spoonful of cocoa = 1 spoonful of flour. If you add 2 tablespoons of cocoa, then reduce 2 tablespoons of flour. Well, if the biscuit is covered with glaze, cream or mastic, then the color is not important at all.
When I'm waiting for a lot of guests, I double the portion of dough, and bake with one biscuit, while increasing the baking time by 20 minutes.
