Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Heat the milk to a temperature of 40 degrees. Pour it into a glass, add yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar, mix, leave for 10 minutes in a warm place to activate the yeast. While the yeast is infused, sift the flour into a deep bowl and add all the remaining products intended for the dough: salt, 2 tablespoons of sugar, egg, 30 grams of melted butter, vanilla. Then pour in the activated yeast mixture.
Step 2:
Mix the contents with a spoon and start kneading the dough directly in the bowl with your hands.
Step 3:
Put the dough on the table and knead for 10 minutes until elastic.
Step 4:
Then move it into a bowl (you can pour a little flour on the bottom) and cover with cling film. Leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour. The approached dough is returned to the work surface, flour is no longer used.
Step 5:
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a layer 1 cm high. To cut out donuts, we will need two round molds. I took a salad ring with a diameter of 9 cm and a cork from a plastic bottle. We cut out the circles with a large ring, and the middle with a small one. We roll the remaining dough into a ball again, roll it out and make donuts out of it. There will be 10 pieces in total.
Step 6:
Deep-fry the donuts over low-medium heat until browning. Approximately 3 minutes on each side.
Step 7:
Spread the donuts on a paper towel for impregnation.
Step 8:
For the glaze, mix 3 tablespoons of cocoa, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 5 tablespoons of milk in an iron bowl. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. About 15 minutes . Add butter to the hot glaze, stir.
Step 9:
Dip the cooled donuts in the glaze on one side. Decorate with confectionery sprinkles.
