Let's start cooking. If necessary, place the bowl of the ice cream maker in the freezer. It is best to do this in the evening. This step is not necessary if an ice cream maker with a built-in compressor is used. It is worth carefully studying the instructions for your device in advance to know how long it will take to prepare and what to do.

Pour a little milk into a glass and pour starch into it. Mix well and leave for now.

Pour sugar into the remaining milk, pour vanilla extract. Add powdered milk there. Mix everything until smooth, you can beat it with a whisk. We try not to leave any lumps. Pour the mixture into a small saucepan, which we put on fire. Bring the mixture to a boil.

When the milk mixture boils, we introduce the diluted starch into it, mix it and remove it from the heat. Let the mixture cool down - approximately to room temperature. If lumps have formed, it is worth wiping the mass through a fine strainer.

While the mixture cools, whisk the cream. They should increase in volume, become airy and fluffy. Combine the whipped cream and the rest of the mixture. When the mass has completely cooled down, it must be placed in the bowl of the ice cream maker. Turn on the device according to the instructions. As a rule, the average cooking time is forty minutes.

Cut the fruit into small pieces and add it to the ice cream five minutes before the end of cooking. Ice cream can be served immediately to the table - it is incredibly tender and just melts in your mouth! Or keep it in the freezer for a couple of hours for a firmer consistency.
