Marinade: pour a glass of water with vinegar into a saucepan, add cloves, juniper berries, pepper, bay leaf. Bring to a boil and cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Then cool.
Grease the herring fillet with mustard from the inside.
Cut cucumbers into strips and put them on the edge of each fillet piece of herring.
Roll the herring fillet into a roll and chop it with a toothpick.
Cut the onion into rings.
Place the rolmops tightly in a bowl together with the onion rings. Pour in the marinade, cover with a film and put in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
