Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Cucumbers are thoroughly washed and soaked in cold water for eight hours, during which time it is worth changing the water a couple of times. This action will allow cucumbers to remain crispy even in a salad for the winter. Then drain the water, rinse the cucumbers again.
Step 2:
Cut off the tips of the cucumbers on both sides, cut the cucumbers into thin circles, no more than 0.3 cm thick. If the cucumbers are very large, then they can be cut into halves, and then into quarters, so that the pieces of cucumbers turn out small.
Step 3:
Peel the onion and cut into rings, if the bulbs are not large, their halves are rings.
Step 4:
Fresh dill greens are thoroughly washed, dried with paper towels, chopped finely with a knife. Garlic cloves are cleaned from the films and cut them into several parts. Who does not like the taste of garlic, you can not use it, it gives the salad a pleasant edge, but it practically does not affect the taste, since the use of dill in the salad makes the preparation very fragrant.
Step 5:
Put cucumbers, dill, onions and garlic in a deep container, it is better to use plastic dishes or dishes made of non-oxidizing material.
Step 6:
Add sugar, salt, vegetable oil and vinegar. Mix the vegetables thoroughly with the dressing so that the sugar and salt dissolve. Cover the container with a lid and put it in the refrigerator overnight.
Step 7:
In the meantime, we will prepare the dishes for spinning for the winter. It is better to take jars for a small salad, so that after opening the salad was immediately eaten by the family. I wash the cans with soda under running water and sterilize them in a convenient way. I like sterilizing cans and lids in the oven. Wet jars are placed on the grill with the neck down in a cold oven. Turn on the temperature mode by 150 degrees. Sterilize the 0.5 l jars for about 10 minutes.
Step 8:
We take the salad out of the refrigerator, mix it again and immediately put it in the prepared jars. Sterilize the salad jars in a water bath or in the oven for about 10 minutes and roll up the lids. Let the salad cool in jars under the "fur coat" at room temperature and put it away for storage in a cool place. Bon appetit!
