Immediately before cooking broccoli, rinse with cold running water, crush the excess drops well and leave to drain on a towel. It is better to take fresh vegetables, but you can also use frozen semi-finished products. In this case, we take the inflorescences out of the freezer immediately before cooking, do not defrost in advance, and you will get a lump stuck together!
In the case of fresh vegetables, we disassemble the whole swing into inflorescences. We take a deep dish suitable for use in a microwave oven, place fresh or frozen pieces of broccoli divided into inflorescences in it. Salt with a small amount of salt, add sugar, if desired, you can diversify the taste with spices or your favorite herbs and spices. Add the required amount of water and cover with a lid.
We install the dishes in the microwave, set the maximum power and cooking time to 2 minutes. After disconnecting, open the lid and check the readiness of the broccoli with a fork or knife. If the vegetables are not ready, we send them to the microwave for another couple of minutes. It is not necessary to increase the time and digest, in this case, the elastic dense inflorescences will be digested, lose their external attractiveness and taste qualities.
As soon as the broccoli is ready, drain the water. Serve the vegetables hot. As an addition, you can use a small amount of butter, prepare a creamy or garlic sauce.
Broccoli in the microwave perfectly complement meat or fish dishes, potatoes, spaghetti and can replace a full meal. Broccoli can also be cooked for babies if they eat vegetables well.
