Step-by-step cooking
I decided to treat my husband with an unusual breakfast today. Got up early. I climbed into the refrigerator and was depressed - what to cook from. Then I caught sight of our little son's kefir, which is given in huge quantities in the dairy kitchen. And I remembered that I once cooked very tasty tortillas on kefir. So I decided to cook them quickly.
I will not describe how I made the dough. Its detailed description is in my recipe "Fish pie with filling".
For the filling, grate the cheese on a coarse grater, add finely chopped herbs, salt (if the cheese is not salty), pepper, season with mayonnaise or sour cream and mix thoroughly.
Roll the dough into a sausage and cut into medium pieces. Roll them into buns.
Roll out the bun from the dough into a flat cake, put the filling in the center, smooth it out. Glue the corners of the dough to the center. Then turn the seam down and roll out very carefully into a flat cake. The tortilla should increase at least 2 times.
Fry the tortillas from 2 sides in vegetable oil until golden brown.
I looked at the time - I met it in 40 minutes. I quickly brewed fresh coffee and went to wake my husband... after all, I am the perfect wife))))) and my husband is the happiest man on earth))))
p.s. some tips. If you are afraid that the dough will break when rolling out, then you can add an egg when kneading, but then the tortillas will not be so soft anymore. You can cook such tortillas with potato filling. I do it like this: we make mashed potatoes, add herbs, grated melted cheese, mayonnaise or sour cream. If you like it sharper, add garlic.
