Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare the tincture, prepare the necessary ingredients. Cherries can be used both fresh and frozen. The main thing is that the berries are the most ripe. The darker they are, the better. Fresh cherries must be washed and the seeds and twigs removed. If you take frozen cherries, then it must first be thawed at room temperature. At the same time, the juice does not need to be drained.
Step 2:
Put the prepared berries in a clean jar.
Step 3:
Fill the berries with sugar and trot a little or just mix so that the sugar is more evenly distributed among the berries. Leave the berries with sugar to stand in a warm place for 3-4 hours.
Step 4:
During this time, even thawed berries will have enough juice. Mix all the berries well together with the juice. There is no need to cook berries to get more juice. Cherry is a juicy enough berry, so the juice from it will be enough to dissolve sugar.
Step 5:
Pour the moonshine into the jar and cover with a lid. Put the jar in a dark, cool place for 3-4 weeks. Do not forget to shake the tincture several times a week. Why should the jar be shaken? This is necessary in order for the finished product to be brighter and richer in taste.
Step 6:
After the specified time, strain the drink, bottle it and close the lids. Let it stand in the refrigerator for another month. By the way, cherry berries can not be thrown away. They can be used to make a Drunken Cherry cake. Such pickled berries without seeds can be stored in the refrigerator for several months.
Step 7:
Don't rush to taste the drink. During the exposure time, its taste will only get better. Cherry tincture can be good for health. It has a calming effect on the nervous system, helps with colds and improves metabolism. But only if it is not abused!
Cherry tincture can be prepared not only on moonshine. For infusion, you can use vodka or cognac.
