Cooking method
Knead a not too steep dough of flour, water, salt and oil (2-3 tablespoons of oil should be left.)
Divide the dough into 2 parts and leave for 15-20 minutes, covered with a napkin and a warm bowl. Then we roll out each part with a rolling pin and stretch it with our hands. Again we let it stand for a few minutes. Again, gently stretch the dough in different directions, leave for another 15 minutes.
Prepare the filling: pour boiling water over the poppy seeds and cook for 10 minutes, squeeze, add powdered sugar, crushed nuts, jam (leaving a little for the rolls), mix everything thoroughly.
Then sprinkling the dough with melted butter, lay the filling, bend the side edges of the dough so that our filling does not fall out, and carefully lifting the napkin, roll the rolls.
Lubricate with egg yolk with sugar and poppy seeds, put on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. at a temperature of 220 ° C, then at 180 ° C until ready.
We decorate the finished strudel with jam and nuts or just sprinkle with powder. Cut it hot.
