Another old culinary recipe of Russian cuisine dedicated to the preparation of wine at home. Homemade red wine is made from sweet red grapes, so it does not require sugar. However, if the wine tastes sour to you, you can add sugar. The main thing is not to overdo it, otherwise you will end up with a killer mixture, and not usable food. That is, a drink.
It is better to dry sage leaves in the fresh air yourself. But if it is impossible to do this, we go to the pharmacy and buy it there. First, the grapes washed and freed from the stems are crushed with our hands, turning them into a thick mess. After the crushed sage leaves are put in a linen bag, tie it, attach a small weight. Grape juice together with the cake is poured into a glass bottle with a narrow neck, we lower a bag of sage into it.
We put a thin rubber glove on the neck of the bottle so that gases can accumulate in the bottles without going outside. We put the bottle in a dark place until the end of the fermentation process. Drain about half a liter of wine and mix the ground cinnamon and cloves into it. Boil on fire for about three minutes. After that, we add boiled water and wine with spices to the container and keep it for about one week. Then we filter our fragrant homemade red wine and bottle it.
