Tahini (thin, tahina) is a paste made from sesame seeds with the addition of vegetable oil in the basic recipe. The homeland of pasta is the countries of the Middle East. It is not sold everywhere, and it is sometimes difficult or even almost impossible to find it in some regions. Therefore, we will prepare the tahini paste ourselves. Fortunately, there are a lot of cooking recipes and cooking it is no more difficult than any other sauce. This recipe is a classic tahini recipe, without seasonings and spices. It can be used for making sauces, sweets. If you add spices and seasonings, you will get a new taste of tahini. At my house, this innovation was very enthusiastically received! We really enjoyed combining this dish with meat. We also added tahini paste along with seasonings to the Babaganush dish, which we really liked.

    Stir intensively, fry until golden brown. But not pronounced, but only slightly. You can brown sesame seeds in the oven, stirring occasionally.

    Pour the toasted sesame seeds into some container, cool a little.

    Pour the toasted (it is toasted they are crushed in a blender much better) seeds into a blender with a bowl. Grind to the consistency shown in the photo.

    Gradually adding oil, we grind sesame seeds until a homogeneous paste-like mass is obtained. The paste should have a consistency like thick sour cream. If 2 tablespoons of oil is not enough, pour more, but in small portions. That's all! The tahini paste is ready. The finished paste can be stored in the refrigerator in a tightly closed jar for about two months.

This is a classic recipe for tahini paste, without seasonings and spices. In this form, you can use it to make sauces, sweets. It turns out very tasty if you mix it with honey. By adding spices and seasonings, you will get a new taste of tahini paste.
