Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Mineral water should be used carbonated, but without an outstanding taste and smell.
Step 2:
Sift wheat flour into a deep bowl. We make a recess in the center.
Step 3:
We drive a chicken egg into another bowl, shake it with a fork or a whisk so that the protein is completely dispersed.
Step 4:
Pour mineral water, vegetable oil into a bowl with egg mixture, add salt. Stir the mixture again with a whisk so that it becomes homogeneous in consistency.
Step 5:
Pour the liquid mixture into a bowl with flour. Mix the ingredients with a spatula so that they begin to gather into a thick dough.
Step 6:
Then spread the dough blank on the floured work surface, knead the dough with your hands until it becomes elastic and smooth. Flour may still be required (the density and quality of flour varies from different manufacturers), pour it a little, continue to knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands.
Step 7:
Roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour. In the meantime, you can prepare the filling for the dumplings and proceed to their modeling. Dumplings and manti can also be prepared from such dough. Enjoy your meal!
In some families, despite the fact that now there is an abundance of ready-made semi-finished products in stores, including ready-made dumplings for every taste, the tradition of cooking homemade dumplings has been preserved. Our family is no exception, sometimes we also make dumplings according to the mood of the whole family. The main thing in this case is high-quality meat and well-cooked dough. Usually the dough was made in cold water with the addition of vegetable oil and, in principle, I was always satisfied with the result. But after hearing some laudatory reviews about the test on mineral water, I decided to try it. I didn't notice much difference either in the cooking process or in the finished dough, the dough turned out to be obedient in operation, but I think it's more due to keeping in the refrigerator.
