Cherry liqueur without vodka at home

A fragrant and sweet drink for pleasant meetings with friends! Our favorite drink with my husband is sweet cherry liqueur, with a delicate taste, with an unearthly aroma. We prepare liqueur according to this recipe every year and treat relatives and friends with it for every holiday. It's not even a shame to present such a liqueur as a present in a beautiful bottle :)

It's very easy to prepare such a drink:

1. Pre-select the cherry and wash it. The bones can be removed, or you can leave them. I prefer to leave - with them, an interesting note appears in the finished drink.

2. Transfer the fruits to a three-liter jar, sprinkling with sugar. It is important not to fill the jar to the top so that the drink can ferment freely.

3. Pour water into the jar.

4. Now mash the cherry. It will be convenient to do it with a rolling pin.

5. Install a hydraulic seal on the jar. To do this, you can use a regular rubber glove by making a puncture in one of the fingers.

6. Keep the jar with the future liqueur at room temperature until the fermentation process stops. You will easily understand this by the improvised water seal: the glove has fallen off, so the drink is ready. Usually the process takes 1.5-2 months, depending on the temperature in the room.

7. Strain the liqueur through gauze, folded in several layers.

8. Let the drink stand for 2 days, then strain it again.

9. Pour the finished liqueur into beautiful bottles and put it away in the cold. It is best to drink it in 2-3 months - so it will be especially delicious.

Happy holidays!
