Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Wash the fresh cherries and remove all the twigs. Measure out the required amount of cherries.
Step 2:
Remove the seeds from the cherry and put the berries in a bowl. Cover with sugar. Leave the cherry to stand for 3-5 hours so that the berries let the juice. If the berries are very sour, then you can add a little more sugar. Again, it depends on what kind of drink you want to get - female or male. With a lot of sugar, the finished drink will be more like a liqueur.
Step 3:
Then transfer the berries and juice to the jar.
Step 4:
Pour vodka over the berries. Stir and close the lid. Put the jar in a warm, dark place for a month, shake the drink every 2-3 days.
Step 5:
After the time has elapsed, strain the finished tincture through several layers of gauze. You can even pass through a small layer of cotton wool. So the drink will be more transparent. Pour the drink into bottles and seal tightly. The drink will acquire its original taste after another 2-3 months of standing. It must be stored in a cool place.
Cherry is a very tasty berry that is suitable not only for jam and compotes, but also for making homemade alcoholic beverages. It goes well with any alcohol base.
For the preparation of tincture on cherries, you can take not only fresh berries. You can use frozen berries or dried cherries.
As an alcohol base, you can use vodka, alcohol or moonshine, but just make sure that there are no foreign impurities in the drink, otherwise they will spoil the taste of the finished drink.
The healing properties of cherries were addressed in ancient times. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, expectorant and antiseptic effects. Useful properties are also preserved in the tincture.
There are, of course, options for making cherry drinks with pits, but I recommend, nevertheless, removing them. The prussic acid and amygdalin contained in the bones negatively affect our body. Therefore, it is better not to take risks.
