Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare the liqueur, we will need ground coffee, alcohol, 1/3 lemon zest, half a vanilla pod, water and sugar. To begin with, let's take coffee, alcohol, lemon and vanilla.
Step 2:
We remove the zest from the lemon, we try not to grab the white part.
Step 3:
Cut the pod into 2 parts, scrape the seeds with a knife.
Step 4:
Mix coffee, alcohol, vanilla and zest.
Step 5:
Pour the mixture into a clean, dry bottle. We send the bottle to a dark, cool place for 1 week. Every day we shake the bottle thoroughly, stirring the contents.
Step 6:
After a week, we cook syrup from sugar and water. Everything is done simply, for this sugar is mixed with water in a saucepan and brought to a boil, at the beginning of cooking the mixture is actively mixed so that the sugar dissolves, as soon as the syrup boils, cook for another 5 minutes on low heat and leave to cool. Add the cooled syrup to the coffee mixture and leave to infuse for another 1 week, shaking the resulting mixture daily.
Step 7:
After a week, the liquor is carefully filtered through a fine sieve and gauze. Pour into a clean, dry bottle and leave to infuse for another 2 months in a dark, cool place.
Step 8:
After 2 months we get the liquor and enjoy! Serve after dinner at room temperature.
