Cooking method
Lime blossom is best taken fresh, but dried is also suitable out of season. Dried flowers will need the same amount - a teaspoon with a slide. Honey can also be used both fresh and not. But, of course, the best result in terms of aroma and taste will be if both flowers and honey are fresh. Moonshine must be used of high quality.
Put the lime color in a glass bottle or jar, then pour it with moonshine. After that, the container is hermetically sealed and removed to a dark place to infuse for 7-10 days. It is not necessary to clean the future tincture in the cool time, the optimal room temperature is 21-23 degrees Celsius. While the moonshine is infused, once a day we shake it vigorously. You can do it once every two days.
When the specified time has passed, we filter the liquid through gauze folded in several layers.
In a small saucepan, combine lime honey and water, heat a little in a water bath, stirring. Stir until the honey is completely dissolved. It is important not to heat honey too much so that it does not lose its useful properties. The temperature of honey when heated should not exceed 60 degrees. Let the mixture of honey and water cool completely.
Pour the honey mixture into a container with infused moonshine, stir, and then close it tightly again and remove it to infuse for 5 days. In a dark place, the temperature should be lower this time. You can put the tincture in the cellar or refrigerator.
After a while, drain the tincture from the sediment that will appear at the bottom. Additionally, we filter the fragrant drink through a layer of cotton wool. This will make the drink transparent.
We close the container with tincture and put it away for storage in the cellar. Such a drink is stored for a long time, but not more than five years.
Delicious drinks!
