  • In a saucepan, combine the cherries and sugar, and squeeze in both halves of the lemon. Boil this mixture for 4 minutes. Then take the pan off the heat and transfer the mixture to a blender, where you blend it to a smooth purée. That purée is your confiture. Pour it into jars, seal them, and leave them upside down for 10 minutes. When the time is up, turn them right side up and let them cool. The cooled cherry confiture is ready to eat right away, or you can store it. It won't lose its flavor even after a year!
