Nostalgia sometimes finds everyone. Nostalgia for childhood, for relatives. There is also nostalgia for grandma's or mom's kitchen. Here the situation is not hopeless - you can get an old notebook with recipes, look through and cook some favorite dish from childhood. This recipe describes the method of cooking one of these nostalgic dishes. It is better to prepare minced meat for vermicelli yourself from fresh meat in order to be 100% sure of its quality.

1. Boil the vermicelli according to the instructions on the package. The dish will taste better if you take high-quality vermicelli. Preferably made from durum wheat.

2. We throw the finished vermicelli into a colander, put it under a stream of cold water. This will stop the cooking process and prevent it from sticking together.

3. Peel the onion, cut into very small cubes. Garlic is cleaned, passed through a press. Put the onion and garlic in a frying pan, pour vegetable oil. We send the frying pan to the fire.

4. Fry the onion with garlic for 1-2 minutes until the aroma appears. Then we spread the minced meat, crush it with a spatula to get small pieces. Fry for 10-12 minutes, stirring.

5. Add tomato paste, mix. Warm up on fire for 2 minutes. Pour 100 milliliters of hot water, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes.

6. After the specified time, we put the vermicelli in the pan. We cook everything together for another 5 minutes. Before serving, you can sprinkle with fresh herbs and freshly ground black pepper.
