  • Back when stores were short on everything, kids invented their own candy and treat recipes, spending whole days at the stove making caramels and toffees. Now our stores are so full it makes your head spin — and yet we still gravitate toward homemade recipes. Apparently, food made with your own hands really is much tastier than store-bought, and I think many people will agree. With that in mind, I want to share a very simple recipe for a very tasty treat. So, milk-powder truffles — how do you make them at home? Here's the recipe! Set a saucepan over low heat and add the sugar and cocoa. Pour in the milk and add the finely chopped butter. Stir now and then, waiting for the sugar to dissolve. Once it does, turn off the heat, let it cool, and very gradually stir in the milk powder (or baby formula). Keep adding until the mixture gets too stiff to stir with a spoon. Now shape the candies. Moisten your hands so the mixture doesn't stick, then pinch off small pieces and form each into a little pyramid-shaped truffle. Roll the finished truffles in cocoa and chill them in the fridge for several hours before serving. Then just take them out and enjoy! As you can see, making truffles at home is easy and quick. The key is to follow the instructions exactly. Do everything right and you'll get a delicious dessert to serve with tea, cocoa, coffee, or any drink. These truffles are great for a holiday spread or a kids' party table. They're tasty, pretty, and appetizing, and they just melt in your mouth — give them a try and make your family a delicious surprise!
