Apple and Tomato Sauce for Winter

You can take this sauce on a picnic any time of year. I used hot pepper because everyone in my family likes things spicy—but you can leave it out. This sauce is great with kebabs. I also love spooning it over boiled potatoes. And some fresh herbs add a new note of flavor. Enjoy!!!
