Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 40 min

We start cooking delicious potato casserole by washing and peeling potatoes. We cut it into small pieces, which we put in a saucepan, then pour the potatoes with clean cold water. Put the pan on high heat, bring the contents to a boil. Then reduce the heat and cook the potatoes until soft, in the process add salt to taste.

While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the minced meat. To do this, heat a frying pan with vegetable oil poured into it (do not forget to leave a little to lubricate the baking dish) over medium heat. Peel the onion and finely chop it, put it in the heated oil. Fry the onion for a few minutes until transparent, then put the minced meat in the pan, mix everything and fry until tender and lightly browned (about 10 minutes). Peel the garlic, squeeze it through a press or three on a fine grater, add to the pan, salt, sprinkle with ground black pepper, mix, cook for another half a minute and remove the pan from the heat.

When the potatoes are ready, drain the liquid, leaving a little on the bottom. Add the butter and mash the potatoes in mashed potatoes with a pusher. We heat the milk in the microwave, pour it into the puree, mix. Break the egg, mix quickly until the egg has had time to curl. Three cheese on a coarse grater, add half to the puree and stir again.

Now we put half of the puree into a small baking dish, pre-greasing it with the remaining vegetable oil. We tamp the layer well. We put the prepared minced meat in the second layer, lightly pressing it, as if pressing into the potato layer. Spread the remaining puree with the third layer, tamp it down as well. Mix the remaining cheese with sour cream and spread on top of the future casserole, level evenly.

Put the mold in a preheated 180 degree oven for 20 minutes - until ruddy. The finished casserole is served hot on the table, supplemented with fresh herbs.

Bon appetit!
