Creamy Cornmeal Porridge
Porridge is wholesome and energizing—and this one is quick and easy to make! Freshly cooked with milk, it holds its own against many other porridges in flavor and nutrition. Sunny yellow and very tasty, it'll please kids and grown-ups alike.
Cooking method

Step 1:
Cover the rinsed quick-cooking cornmeal with water and set it on high heat. As soon as it boils, lower the heat and start stirring.

Cook, stirring, until the porridge starts to bubble and sputter.

Add 0.5 liters (about 2 cups) of milk to the porridge.

Step 4:
Stir the porridge and milk together well, keeping it on the stove.

Step 5:
Add 50 g of butter, season with salt, and add the sugar.

Step 6:
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes.

Step 7:
Once the porridge is done, cover and let it rest for 15–20 minutes. Then it's ready to serve.
