Creamy Cheesy Seafood Pasta
Pasta, but really good pasta—with the aroma of the sea and cream! And simple! Spaghetti with shrimp, sour cream, and a hint of garlic will please just about everyone (except, of course, anyone who doesn't like shrimp). For those particular eaters, you can use chicken breast instead, split the dish between two pans, and let everyone pick what they like best. Honestly, spaghetti with shrimp in cream sauce is a knockout dish.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Wash and chop the fresh herbs.
-
Step 2:
Peel and chop the garlic.
-
Step 3:
Grate the cheese on the fine side of a grater.
-
Step 4:
Salt the boiling water and add the spaghetti. Cook it for 1 minute less than the package says.
-
Step 5:
Heat the oil in a skillet and sauté the garlic.
-
Step 6:
Add the shrimp to the garlic and sauté them briefly.
-
Step 7:
Add the sour cream and cheese and simmer until they come together into a smooth sauce. You can use cream instead of sour cream, but be careful with it—if it overheats, it curdles into flakes and ruins everything.
-
Step 8:
Add the spaghetti to the pan, toss, and warm everything together. If the sauce is too thick, add a little of the pasta cooking water (a small ladle is usually enough).
-
Step 9:
Serve sprinkled with fresh herbs. Basil is especially good here, if you ask me.
- Enjoy! P.S. Instead of shrimp, you can use a seafood medley (frozen or from a jar).
