Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients for making sweet dried fruit soup.
Step 2:
Wash dried apricots, prunes, raisins thoroughly. I had a large dried apricot, I cut it into two parts, and left the prunes intact.
Step 3:
Boil 500 ml of water in a saucepan, lower the dried fruits, let boil. Cook dried fruits at a moderate boil for 10 minutes.
Step 4:
If desired, add cinnamon to the soup. It will give a slightly spicy taste and aroma. Cook dried fruits until soft. It is desirable that they are not overcooked.
Step 5:
Dilute starch in 50 ml of water until the lumps disappear.
Step 6:
To thicken the soup slightly, pour in the starch while boiling in a thin trickle. At the same time, stir the soup in circular movements so that the starch is evenly distributed in the liquid.
Step 7:
Immediately, until the starch is brewed, pour apple juice into the soup, mix.
Step 8:
Add sugar to taste, mix.
Step 9:
Bring the soup to a boil and immediately remove from the stove. Let it brew under the lid for 15 minutes. You can serve fruit soup warm or cold. Enjoy your meal!
Dried apricots and prunes have a high content of potassium salts. This makes them especially useful for kidney diseases, for the cardiovascular, circulatory system. Dried fruits also help to improve digestion and increase immunity.
The ratio of dried fruits can be adjusted to taste and choose the option that you like best.
Apple juice can be replaced with dried apples. Then you need to first cook the apples until soft, let them brew a little. Remove the apples from the pan and continue to cook the soup, adding dried fruits.
Juice can also be replaced with water. This version of fruit soup is perfect for fasting days. In this case, it is better to cook it without sugar.
Instead of cinnamon, you can add a vanilla pod.
I used apple juice without sugar, and it gave the soup a noticeable sourness. Next time I'll try to cook with apple broth.
Dried fruit soup is useful to include in the children's menu as a snack. It is also suitable for fast days.
