Step 1:
Prepare all the ingredients necessary for making jam. The weight of the quince is indicated along with the skins and cores.
Step 2:
Wash the quince thoroughly, peel and remove the core. Cover the peel and core with water, put on fire and boil for 20 minutes. While the peelings are boiling, cut the quince into cubes or slices.
Step 3:
Drain the cooked peelings, pour them over the chopped quince, send it to the stove and boil for 15 minutes, after boiling, drain the liquid. Add sugar to the liquid and cook the syrup after boiling for 5 minutes. Pour hot syrup over the quince, cover the pan with a lid and leave for 12 hours.
Step 4:
Wash the orange well and cut it into small cubes together with the zest. Put the orange together with the juice in a saucepan with quince, bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Pour the hot jam into clean jars and roll up.
