Cooking method

Step 1:
Rinse the dandelion blossoms, slice the lemon, and put both in a saucepan. Cover with boiling water and simmer for 30 minutes.

Then cover with a lid and set it in a cool spot for 24 hours.

Step 3:
After it has steeped, squeeze out the flowers and lemon. Put the liquid back on the heat, add the sugar, and cook for 2 hours.

Step 4:
Pour the finished syrup, still hot, into sterilized jars and seal them right away.
- This syrup has the loveliest aroma. I make it all the time, 3 or 4 batches at once, then stir it into water or tea for my kids. It's wonderfully soothing for colds.
