Feijoa Compote

A delicious and very healthy compote to put up for winter—make it and enjoy! Feijoas are amazing, wholesome fruits, and the compote you get from them is absolutely incredible. Sweet with a gentle tang... my kids simply adore it. We really miss our vitamins in winter, and when feijoas are put up properly, those vitamins stay locked in.

    1. Wash and clean the feijoas, and don't forget to trim off the stem ends. 2. Sterilize the jar and lid. 3. Put the fruit in the jar—I fill it a little less than halfway. 4. Add the sugar to the fruit. 5. Bring the water to a boil and pour it over the fruit and sugar. 6. Screw on the lid and turn the jar upside down. Leave the compote in this position in a warm spot for a day. That's it! Store the compote made by this recipe in a cool place.
