Apple Jam for Winter
One of the many ways to make apple jam! Apple jam is one of the most popular things to put up. I'm no exception — I make it every single year. There are countless recipes for it, but let me tell you about mine.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
For this jam you need sugar and apples.
-
Step 2:
Wash the apples well, peel them, and core them. Cut the prepared fruit into wedges about 2 cm thick.
-
Step 3:
Now make the syrup. Dissolve the sugar in the water, heating the mixture over low heat.
-
Step 4:
Pour the hot syrup over the apples and let them soak for 4 hours.
-
Step 5:
Set the mixture over low heat and, stirring, bring it to a boil. Boil for about 7 minutes, then set it aside for about 8 hours.
-
Step 6:
Bring the mixture back to a boil and let it cool again. Repeat this process a couple more times.
-
Step 7:
Transfer the jam into sterilized jars and seal them airtight with lids.
