Liver "Cake" on Wafer Sheets
An original way to serve liver pâté — tasty and quick! This "cake" comes together fast, and there's plenty of room to get creative. It seems like ordinary liver pâté, but you end up with a party-worthy cake.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
The ingredients.
-
Step 2:
Cook the heart until tender.
-
Step 3:
Start cooking the liver, adding salt, a bay leaf, and 1 onion.
-
Step 4:
Meanwhile, finely chop the second onion and fry it in oil until golden (this makes the pâté more fragrant and flavorful).
-
Step 5:
Boil the carrot. Once everything is cooked, run it all through a meat grinder and add the pepper, butter, and mayonnaise. Taste and add salt if needed.
-
Step 6:
Spread the finished pâté generously over the wafer sheets and stack them on top of one another.
-
Step 7:
Decorate the top however you like — I used mayonnaise. Refrigerate for 2 hours to let it set.
-
Step 8:
Now get it ready to serve.
-
Step 9:
Cut into portions. Enjoy!
- Serve this cake with any side dish or a salad. If you spread the sheets with a thin layer of pâté and serve right away, they'll stay a little crisp.
