Step 1:
How to fry dumplings in a frying pan with onions? Prepare all the products listed in the recipe. Dumplings can be used homemade frozen or purchased. Take olive oil or any vegetable oil without smell. In addition, you can use your favorite dry spices and seasonings to taste. I sometimes add a clove of garlic, chopped as finely as possible.
Step 2:
Peel the onion and cut it into thin half rings or slightly smaller.
Step 3:
Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan with a thick bottom. Put the onion in a frying pan and leave for a few seconds, until the onion becomes slightly transparent.
Step 4:
Add the dumplings to the onion in one even layer. Add salt to taste, pepper and sprinkle with your favorite spices. I sometimes use a mixture of Provencal herbs or a pinch of hops-suneli. Mix everything well. Reduce the flame of the stove to a minimum, cover the pan with a lid and leave the dumplings to simmer for 10-15 minutes. I had small dumplings, so it took me 10 minutes to cook them.
Step 5:
Open the lid after two to three minutes and check if the onion and dumplings are burning? Sometimes a sufficient amount of liquid is released from frozen dumplings for cooking. If there is no liquid, then pour in 2-3 tablespoons of water and cover again with a lid. In the process of cooking, mix the dumplings 2-3 times.
Step 6:
After the specified time, remove the lid, slightly increase the flame under the pan and, stirring, fry the dumplings to the desired degree. Sprinkle the finished dumplings with herbs, chopped finely.
Step 7:
Serve hot.
Fried dumplings can be served as an independent dish. They are perfectly combined with various purchased sauces, as well as sauces of their own preparation. Offer lecho, adjika and any salads from winter preparations to the dumplings.

To avoid irritating the mucous membrane of the eyes when slicing onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a piece of lemon before slicing.
