Step 1:
How to make pork stewed in sour cream? Prepare the specified products. Pork is better to take fresh, without fat streaks. Sour cream with a fat content of 20-25% (I have 25%). Russian mustard, ready. From spices I take hops-suneli, but you can also take your favorite spices. Prepare a saucepan with a thick bottom or a saucepan, a frying pan with high sides.
Step 2:
Wash the pork with running cold water and dry it with a towel (paper or plain, the meat should be dry so that it can be fried, not stewed). Cut the pork into pieces, it can be done with cubes and cubes. Just keep in mind that the thicker the meat is cut, the more time it will take to cook it. Sprinkle the chopped pork with spices and mix.
Step 3:
In a frying pan or in a saucepan, heat the vegetable oil and fry the chopped pork until golden brown, it is better to do it in parts if the saucepan is small in diameter so that the pieces do not touch each other.
Step 4:
Peel the onion and cut into cubes. Add the chopped onion to the pork and fry everything together for 5-7 minutes over medium heat without a lid.
Step 5:
Pour 150-200 ml of hot water to the meat with onions (so that the cooking process does not stop), close the saucepan with a lid and simmer the meat over low heat for 40 - 45 minutes.
Step 6:
Mix sour cream with mustard, salt. Add this mixture to the pork, stir and continue to simmer under the lid for another 15 minutes.
Step 7:
Peel the garlic clove and pass it through the press. Add garlic to the meat, stir. Simmer for a couple more minutes. At the end of cooking, try for salt, add salt if necessary.
Step 8:
Serve the pork stewed in sour cream hot. To garnish, you can choose boiled buckwheat, rice, pasta, mashed potatoes. I offered my family such pork with boiled buckwheat.
